What's your name and role on the team?

My name is Heather Lindbeck and I am the Director of Human Resources for the Marion County Tax Collector's office.

What inspired you to join the peer support team?

I love to help out others when I am able to. I tell everyone that I work with that my door is always open for them to come and talk to me about anything.

What's your background or experience with peer support?

This is the first time being part of a peer support group and I hoping that I can help in the best way that I can but also learn from others.

What's one piece of advice or encouragement you'd share with someone seeking support?

Do not be afraid to talk to someone about what is going on in your life. We are all struggling with something and you never know if the person you are talking with has experienced something similar. I believe talking about things helps out a lot.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Spending time with my family and I love to read!

Going to the beach to just sit there and listen to the waves can make any bad day, so much better!
